Spring Maintenance Checklist
Now is a great time to shake off your home’s winter coat and jump into Spring. Here is a checklist of things to do outside to make sure your home is ready for the new season. But, keeping your home in great shape takes time and effort. For a helping hand with any of the items on your Spring checklist, call us at (206) 522-1213. Outside Checklist:
Clean out gutters.
Repair any loose or hanging gutters.
Check to make sure downspouts direct water away from foundation.
Remove storm windows and install screens.
Check windows for damaged glass or caulk.
Repair any damage to steps or walkways.
Check house exterior for peeling paint.
Check house trim for damage or peeling paint.
Power wash the house exterior and deck.
Repair any loose boards or nail pops on decks.
Clean and repair outdoor furniture.
Clean exterior windows.
Check roof for damaged or missing shingles.
Remove leaves or other debris that have accumulated during the winter.
Repair or replace damaged mailbox.
Check exterior lights for proper operation, repair or replace if needed.
Clean garbage cans and recycling bins.
Clear any debris away from dryer vents, exhaust vents and downspouts.
Open up valves to outside hose bibs or taps.
Check garage-door opener for proper operation and adjust if needed.
